Ammy suit issue. Advice anyone?

So I have spent the last two days trying to make the arm wing detail. First I tried making a pillow with the traditional 3 circles then attaching it to the arm. It turned out to be too heavy and floppy, so I removed it. Then I tried it with just one circle spiral and it just plan looked retarted. So now I am at a point where I am considering not adding the arm detail period, or just painting it on the normal sleeves. Thoughts, ideas?
