Need some advice on Music Software in general/America Trip..
Hey guys.
I'm looking to purchase some new music software (and possibly a new computer capable of running it) in the coming months.
Just wanted to ask for some advice on which software to choose. Whatever i do end up buying i'll have to learn how to use from scratch but that's ok. The only software i really know anything about (albeit very little) is FL Studio 10 and i've had a little play around with the demo.
I really want to step-up from Music 3000 (which i realise to some people that isn't hard to do XP) and get to grips with something that can produce really good quality, realistic sound. I'm confident that with some practice i could put my skills to better use with better software. I know that i should be prepared to pay decent money too, but that's ok.
Any advice would be great because i admit i'm a bit of a n00b on this subject, so thank you.
In other news, i'll be visiting America at the beginning of September. Being the die-hard Elvis Presley fan that she is, my Mom wants to go back to Memphis, TN to visit Graceland and all the usual Elvis-related places such as his birthplace in Tupelo and Sun Studios. I've been once before but that was 10 years ago with a tour company that rushed our jet-lagged asses around too quickly, hopefully this time we can do things at our own pace as we're going under our own steam. It will be a bit emotional because my Dad was with us last time but for me it will be a good way of remembering him. This time i'm going with my Mom, my sister Deb and my beloved girlfriend, Lindsey (
retrogirl1986 ).
Can't wait! I'm no Elvis fan but i respect what the guy did for music. I enjoyed the food and the hospitality last time around too, so should be great!
See you in September USA!
