Irish Festival and Stuff

Okay, well, it is really just the Irish Festival!
This past weekend (March 2nd to the 4th) I was in North Texas hanging out with a good friend and working for one of her father's friends at his Vendor Stall at the North Texas Irish Festival. I've never seen so much green in one place before! And it was amazing! Our stall was right across from this lovely Wicca lady who was selling these AMAZING witch hats that she let us try on and goof off in. She was really nice and even bought me and my friend some cotton candy when our stall wasn't doing too well and we looked "down" as she put it. The lady next to her was selling these lovely steampunk themed, handmade leather journals too. I wanted one so badly but they were, sadly, WAY out of my price range.
There were so many other interesting people! I got to see a white German Shepherd all died green with a little leprechaun hat on. There was a set of quadruples all with matching outfits and those cute monkey backpack leashes! There was also this guy with a three foot Mohawk - I KID YOU NOT! - a THREE FUCKING FOOT MOHAWK! that was dyed all green and he had a kilt and bagpipes and... It was awesome! I managed to get shirts for everyone in my family and got Mavi this lovely new Guinness Under Armor shirt (Did not even know that they sold such things!) that he loves! Makes me so happy to be a good big sister. There was also this lady who had three of her Japanese Chins in a baby basket and one in this carrier strapped to her chest. I got to see some adorable Saluki puppies! (In case you don't know, Salukis are my all TIME FAVORITE dog breed *hint hint*).
What we were down there for was to sell a bunch of T-Shirts and stuff. Lots and lots and lots of beer related stuff - especially Guinness and Jameson and Smithwick and the like. I got to try tons of different malt ales, whiskeys and beers and it was so much fun! My feet may be killing me and my knee may be swollen but it was worth the trip just to see all these interesting people and get some wonderful experience and make a good $400 for only three days work.
I did manage to snag myself a lovely Rapier with this intense decorative handle that I plan on using in my newest costume - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJebguI8tNk - though not sure if I can pull off the French accent.
is already making fun of my many failed attempts at copying it but I am the one with the rapier and the dagger and he just has his sassy fox attitude. We will see who wins in the end...
Anyway, I am going to try and get some sleep now even with the Adderall I took still running through my system and making me jumpier than a rabbit on speed. It was a six hour drive home after working from 8AM to 8PM today...
