I have yet to see anything at an IMAX 3D, just no areas nearby that have em. Jonah Hill looks weird skinny, I'm used to him fat. XD

He actually looks pretty good skinny- always pleased for folks when they lose weight like that. IMAX 3D can be amazing- just make sure if you ever do go that you research first- you want a true IMAX screen, not the new digital ones.

Have to say that I have been eyeing this movie up. Attractive lead, a movie based on some decent fiction that has been crying out for movie treatment (rather than just retreading another movie). So might have to check it out on the big screen I think.

Yes- yes you might! What you SHOULD do is come to Auckland and I'll hook you up with IMAX tickets and then we can have dinner before/after/during/all 3 options, possibly travel back in time and.. Okay I'll stop.

Yes JUMP STREET is based on the TV show but it's completely spoof action comedy (think PINEAPPLE EXPRESS). It's very good. <3

*sigh* Okay, you have a very convincing argument, it has to be said. I am thinking perhaps not this coming weekend, but the weekend after that (probably on a Saturday afternoon or evening) as that is around when my birthday is Would that work out alright for you time-wise? And I fully expect to pay for things as well, you are not to be out of pocket or potentially getting yourself into mischief over any of this!

Also, I have wanted to see this since I first saw a teaser for it a while back. When I first saw the teaser, I thought they made another video game into a movie. Anyone ever heard of "The Mark of Kri"? Kinda reminded me of the tribal tattoos from that game.

Anyhow, the visuals look stunning and again, absolutely excited for IMAX 3D!!! Wheeeeeeeee!!!

I saw it last night in regular 3D and I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie! I thought it was put together nicely and the 2hr long movie didn't really feel long at all. I am glad that the movie was 2hrs b/c movies now a days have been too short for what is paid to see them. Too often I see movies with an 80-90 min run time and I'm like... "Why didn't they flesh things out a bit more to give me my money's worth!?"

Anyhow... I am thinking about seeing it again in IMAX 3D this coming Friday!

Glad you liked it! Yes do go see it on a TRUE IMAX screen- very impressive. Actually I'm of 2 minds about long films- often what could be tight entertainment falls over in the third act due to length. There aren't as many directors that can make a good LONG film as there are who can make a good film generally.

Also from a business perspective short movies are easier to schedule at good times that are accessible to the public at times they want to go. Very difficult to cater for everyone with long films. ;)

Yeah, I hear you there.... I just went and saw it for a second time on IMAX (not sure if it was a "true" IMAX), but it was MUCH better!

The 3D popped more, the picture was more vibrant, the sound was awesome and everything was just way better!

With all of the previews they showed on IMAX 3D, I now only want to see them that way and no other. I mean, if I am going to pay 13 for a movie in regular, not the best quality theaters vs 15-17 for IMAX, I am comfortable paying the IMAX prices just to have a better experience.

A true IMAX screen is much taller than it is wide- similar proportion to a packet of cigarettes, only about 6 stories tall lol. Those are the ones that use 15/70 film stock which is the proper IMAX ratio as opposed to the new digital ones that are just like, really big cinema screens.

But yes- I like your philosophy! That is how you protect things that you love- by supporting them and having a good perception of value.
