Pokerus is an in-game virus that can be caught as you fight an infected pokemon in the wild. Once your pokemon has pokerus, the EV (effort value) points a pokemon gets when battling a wild pokemon DOUBLES! so Pokerus is a GOOd thing! it helps your pokemon become BIG AND STRONG!! XDDD

yeah. youll learn more about it. not IN the game though DX all they tell you is "oh dear! your pokemon seem to be infected with Pomkerus!" but its a good tbhing.. so yeah XD

after 14 consecutive years of constantly playing pokemon.... i never got it in any of my games... It was only until a friend of mine 3 years ago gave me a pokemon with pokerus and intructed me to

1. fight with the pokemon 1st in your party... this infects the other pokemon with the virus
2. fight with that said pokemon untill all of your pokemon have pokerus
3. store some pokemon in your PC box because the virus actually heals (meaning that said pokemon can no longer SPREAD the virus) at midnight.
4. and always keep infected pokemon in your PC for backup

So in order to maintain its infectability you have to store the Pokemon in the PC? Does failing to do so also remove Pokerus from the Pokemon too?

Failing to do so doesn't really "cure" the virus. But if you don't do so the Pokemon in unable to spread the virus to any more Pokemon once it heals.

You ALWAYS want a Pokemon that can spread the virus in your PC just in case.

When you have the "PKRS" purple icon in your pokemons Summary, thateans the Pokemon has pokerus and can spread it to others. When the Pokemon has a face in the same corner as the PKRS sign once was, that means that your Pokemon still has pokerus and that the effects of pokerus are still present, although the Pokemon no longer spread the virus to party Pokemon.

Also, male sure you place a pokerus Pokemon in your box BEFORE you save the game and put it down for a while. That time you aren't playing matters with the healing process
