noooooooo! ted bought me a tshirt from there last year....that sux :(

honestly, coming from a person trained in that industry, his food was mediocre at best (with the exception of the maple bacon doughnuts) and my last experience eating there last AC makes me wonder why he didn't close down sooner. Just my opinion.

Considering the things he's done for us, I wouldn't even begin to gripe over the quality of the food. I felt I definitely got my money's worth and knowing the history, I wish more people were like him.

what things? Printing up a t-shirt every year? discounts for con goers? Dude...It was a money play. He's a business person. Doing those things attracted business. If he didn't think that he would attract business he would not have done any of the things he did. That restaurant was nothing special to me.

Keep in mind that not every business would cater to the furry crowd. True his motivation would have been mostly financial. But not all businesses or business owners would feel the same way. He could have went all 'moral indignation' on us, or went 'k thats it these guys are too much trouble' but he stuck up for us. He catered to us for sure - HARD CORE catered to us - knowing full well that it could bite him in the ass the whole rest of the year if it pissed off the wrong people. He was a business man trying to cash in on 4000 people wanting food over 5 days, true - but he didn't have to. He could have 'tolerated' us and instead he catered or dare I say "pandered" (panda pun!) to the furry crowd.
Now everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I am not going to tell you you need to change yours on the subject - everyone is going to feel differently about this, and is entitled to feel differently about this.... However for me I'm going to say it really really sucks that a business that was exceedingly furry friendly will no longer be a part of the Anthrocon tradition.
