Awww thats a shame but hey dont worry getting knocked out would remove you from pain its like a nerve stopper (which makes the nerves make you feel nothing) Besides you rather get it over with bud and If I was there I would make you feel better and say that there will be nothing to worry about! I got your back no matter what :D

*cuddles tightly* Don't fret hun. Hey, when they knock you out, they put a little needle in the back of your hand and ask you to count backwards from 10... I usually only get to 7 or 6 before I'm out like a light lol

I hate being awake for such things as it always used to freak me out too.

The second time I went to get my front tooth repaired and they used gas to knock me out (a gas that smelt of minty toothpaste), I totally freaked as I couldn't breathe and it took 3 nurses AND the dentist to hold me down AFTER I'd ripped the mask off once before then... Dunno why I acted like that. The first time they did it I was fine...
After that they told me I'd need to have local anasthaetic (sp?), aka injections to numb the mouth and had to be awake for it. Nowadays, several re-breaks in, I don't bother getting it repaired again.

Dental surgery is a pain, but toothache is FAR more painful. If you do have to be awake, do what I do. Just keep your mouth open, your eyes closed and think happy thoughts >.<

awww.at leasts its over.i was scared when they put this huge thing up somewhere to get a sample for a smear test.i was having like you were.cried and panicky.hated it.once its done.its done
