I heard the ending was shit, basically. I heard a lot of the game was disappointing.

Pretty much, though that's just the cherry on top of the shit sundae, really. I won't say anything more though, since I don't want people raging about spoilers here.

Ive known about the leaks and so forth for a long time sir, ive been there for ME too but this one...this one is just nahhhhhhh.

Being a fan, I tried to insulate myself from spoilers and leaks as much as I can, so I can enjoy the game in its full.

Care to elaborate a bit? I kinda saw this coming and I'm wondering exactly why it turned out how I predicted it would.

The technical bits were alright, besides bugs here and there. I don't mind they've been emptying out the RPG elements since the first game.

The story is about 25% cliche, 25% eye-rolling, and 50% PLOTHOLE. It's honestly like they completely forgot about the specifics of the universe as the game progressed...

I liked most of the games cept for some parts thought the ending really did leave me dissapointed

I thought it was the best one. they got rid of everything that sucked with the previous two. no spending any time in a vehicle. no hacking and bypassing BS. each gun is different, and has unique tactical uses, the story wraps up nicely. the only thing i had an issue with was the ending. but the endings to these games always sucked.

I certainly like those parts. The story started out alright, but characterization felt really forced in this one.

Okay I do also have to admit that the plot device that you build throughout the game was a little stupid. my friend also called it on what the catalyst was.

But... My weapon mods. ;v; And driving the Mako up a 90-degree hill! But no seriously, I <3'ed my weapon mods.

Did you really not see this coming? Bioware's been sucking for a while.

It isn't Bioware's fault, it is EA's. Bioware is the dev team, but EA supplies the funding and they want what they get.

I can believe this. I saw what EA did to the Ultima series.

I've been a Bioware fan for a while. But after DA:O, SWTOR, and ME3 I think I'm ready to turn in my card....

I'm honestly glad to hear about this. The first ME was WONDERFUL, I loved playing through it multiple times to try different builds, I became irate with 2 because they removed most of the RPG elements from 1, I say gameplay vids of 3 and was like... "Halo Effect of War" and was going to completely pass it.

Thanks for confirming the game is a shit storm.

The game was fun... until the ending.

It fell SO damn flat, regardless of the choice one makes.

Love interest means nothing.

Anyone you save means nothing.

Basically, it proves that working hard and siding with anything didn't make a difference in the final outcome.

The game was perfect, in my opinion, right up until the ending. It sucked so hard that it has put my off from wanting to play them game for a long time, or until the give us a new ending. I can't even describe (read: lazy) at how dissapointed I am with that ending.

The funny thing is, they delayed the games release by six month so they could tack on the multi-player. They had six months extra to work on the ending...

I'm really just enjoying the multiplayer... spent more times in that than the actual single player game thus far.

I don't have a Gold account, so I can't play.

Worst part, I didn't think any game could lag in multiplayer as bad as some MMOs. EA accomplished this with ME3... that's my experience in a nutshell with multiplayer ME3: lag lag lag lag death lag lag death death raped by lag.

I made an exception for this due to Black March... exception not forgiven...

Hrm... I didn't even play through the first game... because it just wasn't anything like the first game.. in my opinion, a shame ME3 is the same <.<

This is the vibe I'm getting from around the community, and it's a bit disappointing to see given the hype. But it's not entirely unexpected somehow... even though I have no prior experience with playing the series. :/

yeah a bunch of my freinds have also told me that the ending sucks. i would have beaten it by now, but i keep getting invited to multiplayer matches lol

also, it does have the feel so far that they are simply trying to wrap it up and dont really care as much as they did with the first two, kind of like they did with transformers 3

I will get the game and finish it for the sake of playing some good game. I've never enjoyed watching someone else playing a game I want to play but never really played. I don't know how you can do it. Hmm, perhaps I could now that I realize that I play less and still want to beat so many games in my library. XD; I'm getting old. :E

I share the same sentiments. It feels lackluster. Like the ending was inevitable anyhow.

I think they could've put in the effort to give a real plethor of endings to the basic 3 you get.

Still its nice to finally end the game I suppose. I still liked it, I had fun, it got to me emotionally and all that and it felt good to finally wrap things up. I suppose it just feels retarded to work so hard uniting all of the galaxy...only to pretty much see none of that anyhow make a difference beyond a number that calculates how "good" a finish you get.

ME3 doesn't even do that. All choices up until the very end have zero bearing on the ending. I had a 5k fleet strength and nothing was different from my sister with her 2k fleet strength, besides getting one more variant in "Choose your color!"

Hah, my point exactly. You pick between green, blue, and orange. And you may or may not get slightly longer ending videos...but nothing of real relevance is revealed because of it.

Currently loving the game in nearly all its aspects. I'm a major fan of the series and to me this is the best one yet, combining elements from the first two games. That being said I've heard about the awful ending and am fully prepared for it, so far this game is a solid 9 in my books.

food for thought: Everything after stepping into the beam is dream sequence/reaper indoctrination, and the choice you make is whether to accept or reject it. There's other clues that point to this.

Given how subtely didn't really apply for the rest of the game (and the last one), I'm having trouble believing BioWare did this on purpose. >.>

I beat it last night. My fav description I've seen so far?

The way the game's endings were presented didn't just undermine this, it threw it out the window. What had been the point of making all your decisions across three titles based on good or "evil" (well, "rude") if the final payoff did not represent these? It feels like walking 100 miles to get lemonade only to get there and be told you can choose between a pair of shoes, some brass knuckles or a cheeseburger.


I did pretty much everything right. I united warring factions, united the whole fucking galaxy, saved every character i could, and none of it mattered.

Sums up my biggest beef with it rather nicely. And it really affects my desire to play it again. :P
