I've experienced the dreaded computer loss multiple times and lost a lot of progress work and a lot of everything else. It can be so frustrating and depressing. I know it's hard to not be upset but I hope you start regaining and rebuilding your stuff back piece by piece. Best wishes <3

Oh I know! I always hate when you end up loosing something that you felt you were really improving on! What really helped me was thinking of it as practice >_> really angry practice LOL Because practice makes you better and I bet you anything the second time you draw that particular piece, it'll be even better :)

I doubt it, I can never draw anything the same exact way twice. It's one of the things that bugs the hell out of me.
Another reason why I struggle with animation.
And yes, horribly rage inducing, brain exploding, mindbogglingly frustrating, practice. :I

I used to feel the same way about my art but with time and more practice I've actually gotten past that hurdle, I hope you can too :)

I just wish I had a style that people liked more. Mine just doesn't really seem to fit anywhere.

Hmmm, well focus more on what you feel is appealing and at the same time work on structure, anatomy and etc. Expanding your skills and style will come with time, don't fret too much on what other people will think of your art or being popifur. A lot of these people who are popifur have grown in skill before popularity, a lot of the time their popularity grew with their improvement in art period. Try not to let it get you down. These things used to bug me a lot more when I was younger but I figured out if I just get a little more serious about my work and focus a lot more on myself than on others, I improve a lot faster. It's easier on the heart to look at art out of compassion rather than jealousy. Art takes time and constant improvement and evolving your skills and attitude. You'll be just fine <3

Of course, believe me I'm not really jealous. I just wish my personal style was more appealing to people. Of course I understand that making art shouldn't be for popularity and it should be something you personally enjoy, and believe me, I do. I just have a lot to work on and being able to make any sort of profit from drawing is a huge boost to my esteem.

I know exactly what you mean and I've been there <33 You'll already awesome, just keep up the hard work and never give up on getting even better :D
