Well... there was that whole enormous earthquake + tsunami + nuclear accident last year.

But aside from the guys walking around taking radiation readings a couple days ago, that hasn't had much effect away from the coast.

That's good. I was wondering about that. I love how Japan is able to shake off disasters like that so much better than the US. :3

While the rest of us (other than the duck of course) were having the most perfect time of our lives ever forever we determined that such a blast will never ever be had like this again, not even close, and that anyone who missed it most assuredly will never fully understand what it means to be alive.

Or perhaps it was just good fun, and we hoped you had sufficient joy in your own travels. I forget which of these we ended up deciding upon.
