Sherwood Forest Faire March 24-25
The last weekend was a blast! around 11,000 people showed up for the 3 day weekend. Vendors sold lots of food and drinks and sword and armor. Alphonse got a decent amount of tips for just standing around letting people take his picture. The only downside was that it started to rain on Sunday around 2:00, I had to seek shelter, and when it looked like it wasn't going to stop, Alphonse had to leave the faire early that day.
On the other 2 days, many people came up and got their pictures taken with Alphonse, I spent most of Friday and Saturday in costume. Around 10 or so children came running up to me to give me a hug, when I saw them coming, I would drop down to one knee so they could hug me, their parents loved it as much as they did. For the ladies, while I did "smile" for the camera, (open the mouth just a little) I have the ability to mimic a cat's purr, so I purr for the ladies that get their picture with me. When they ask "Can foxes purr?", I tell them yes!
Now on to this weekend, I will not be there at all on Saturday, March 24th, a previous engagement has at College Station doing a World War 2 reinactment at the Brent Mullens museum, I will be at Sherwood on Sunday, March 25th. The weekend so far looks great, temperature in the 80's, no rain, just hot for Alphonse.

Ambrose shall be making an appearance as well - most likely armed with lots of water!

And just like that, my plans change, a event I thought was going on this Saturday, the 24th, was actually held last Saturday, the 17th. Oh well, Alphonse will be at Sherwood Forest both days this weekend. As for where I will be during the day, from 10:00 am til 11:30 am, I am near the front gate, I take a break and then do the parade at 1:00 pm, the parade ends at the Seven Sisters standing stones, I am there from the end of the parade until 1:30, then I head to the Joust field and watch the joust and let people take my picture, after the joust, around 2:00 pm, I go take another break for an hour, then Alphonse is back near the Joust field from 4:00-5:00 pm, after 5:00, I am usually heading to the Greenwood stage for my final exit of the day.

I will have a pass waiting for you at Will Call under Ambrose. If you get there before noon, one pass is good for 2 people.
