I just wanted to say that in the last 5 years since I won the very first dance comp in 2008, the talent has exploded from the woodwork. We would have never expected in our wildest dreams that there would have been so many good dancers in one place at one time. I can only imagine how hard it was to pick from just this past years massive amount of contestants.

I can remember when the first comp happened, there were no try-outs, no separate pre-lims on different days to make sure everyone got their shot at it! The dances also, as serious as they were at the time, were more entertaining for the crowd like a small masquerade performance. My internet rivalry between beetlejuice and myself is the perfect example of that.

It blows my mind now that now the people competing are so incredible, performing dances and moves that I had never thought before were possible. People creating fursuits for the whole purpose of dancing in them! What an idea!!


So....to wrap this up n all...I just want to thank everyone who has tried out, who has made it to the stage, and who has won each and every year, at every convention that has held a dance comp. You all are what keeps the movement going, and dont let anything keep you from doing what you all love. Lets keep raising the bar and continue this awesome show of amazing skill!! Keep the energy positive and lets show the fandom how we do things!
