*shrugs* They can call it what they want, but it just doesn't have that wild and crazy party vibe to me. People aren't nearly as friendly, and I've gotten yelled at by staff for being too loud lol. FWA 2010  Tisket and I had WAY too much fun running around yowling like cats while in our cat fursuits... No staff got onto us, they just laughed.

I'm going to MFM this year :) I cut back on cons last year due to being pregnant, and just getting a little worn out on them... But I've skipped FWA for two years and REALLY miss it.

Yeah I had to skip cons for a while due to a lack of budget. Now I think I'm gonna be able to do 2 cons a year that I won't be working at. ^^; One con I will be working at.

I think I'm down to two cons a year, one for my mate... A bunch of his friends he used to hang out with at cons have moved and/or dropped out of the fandom :( At one point we were hitting 5-6 cons a year... Tooooo much XD

Yeah. 2 cons is a nice amount. Though there are some I'd love to hit up sometime, like the one in Seattle. But yeah. A con's getting started up in Nashville this year. I'm hoping it goes well.

I've been thinking of hitting that one up if it goes well :)

oh they are changing hotels again? The one it was at last year was kinda confusing, but I did like the nice indoor pool and plants. It made for really pretty photo ops.

It sounds like a few of the la furs want to go! I would soooo like to go again. The drive was a bit much though, but with a bunch of friends I'm sure it wouldn't be bad at all :)

The indoor pool was the only thing I liked about the hotel. As for driving there you are more then welcome to ride up there with me like we did for RCFM.

FWA is my personal favorite con! I'll almost definitely be going again next year. A carpool wouldn't be such a bad idea. Either that, or taking the megabus, which is pretty cheap.

I just looked up the prices, and from what I saw it isn't all that cheap? For one you would have to pay a few months in advance. I put in next weekend available's date just to get an estimate and it was 66 dollars? Then I went as far ahead as it would let me schedule and the outbound trip was only a dollar, but the return was 39 dollars??

I just messed with it some more and it is cheap if you leave on any day but monday...but that would be the day I would want to leave on since I've learned most of the real fun is on sunday! I don't know, maybe I'm not putting things in right?

Oh weird. I tried Arriving Thursday June 14th, Returning Monday June 18th. It's $5 there, and $1 return.

Holy crap that is DIRT cheap, and would be fun if we could get a bunch of people together :D I rode a grayhound from TN to OK one time... It wasn't bad, but awkward because I was by myself.

Fwa was a joke this year ;p The parties kept getting shut down and people were nearly kicked out for laughing too loudly.
The con staff was very strict this year.

Well they are supposted to be moving to a new hotel, so maybe parties can last longer? I usually don't go to SUPER crazy parties.

Well, if I could find a carpool buddy and a roomie to help cut down costs, I'd love to go to FWA. MFM is nice, but I would like to check out a different con for a change. Plus, it looks like I might be finally getting a source of income in the near future.
