Something to say about the ME3 fiasco

Liking the endings to ME3 doesn't make you a bad person.
Neither does disliking them. Way too often I see this general mindset of "Any reasonable person would dislike the endings! If you're not with us, then you're either retarded or you've never played the games and don't know what you're talking about!"
For example, the response that the IGN and Gamespot articles have gotten, which is "Lol they don't know what they're talking about"
Meanwhile, Forbes, who makes a number of mistakes and rather reaching assumptions in his articles is viewed as some kind of "voice of the fans".
The Child's Play charity is winding down due to a fear that the charity is being connected to the Retake's petition. The response? That somehow EA is using the gaming media in some kind of conspiracy theory to shut down the charity. Which couldn't be further from the truth.
The "Retake Mass Effect" movement seems to be thinking they're lone soldiers struggling against some implacable enemy. And while they profess to being civil and polite, several people connected with their movement have done nothing to belittle and insult anyone who isn't on their side.
This entire "With us or against us" mentality is silly, and really getting out of hand. People who think the endings are good/okay/fine/etc are just as much fans as the folks who dislike them. To imply that they are somehow less of a fan for not agreeing with you?
That makes you worse than them.

People need to quit getting mad at video games.
The articles appearing in Forbes are more or less made in response to the financial impact ME3's been having recently, and they're viewing the situation on what will benefit BioWare the most.
I'm sorry, but while EA might make some stupid business moves, they're not outright EVIL.
As for Forbes, he thinks that criticism along the lines of "The endings suck!" is just as valid as "The endings suck, and this is why..."
Which is grossly untrue.
