Shoulder wasn't broken, CT Scan confirmed that. 90% of the car being considered totaled, IE, not worth paying for the damage. Engine looked mostly fine other than a cut oil line and smashed radiator... Hood and one quarter panel definitely salvageable, the other nt so much... The front of the car, totally fucked.
My knee is sprained, though, and I'll be sore as hell. Of course, since it was a bad weather crash and I technically caused it, I also get a nice 111 dollar ticket for 'driving to fast for conditions.' Around here you'd get the same one if you caused an accident at five miles per hour and it was raining. For me, I was exiting the highway. My breaks locked up, and then I hydroplaned meaning I barely lost any speed by the time I got to the actual turnoff. So I went flying across the large grass median and smashed headlong into the side of a woman's Subaru.
I immediately drove to a safe position, cut the engine and turned off electronics, and then sprinted out of the car to make sure she was okay. She was fine, just shaken up. It all happened so fast.
Also, the cops said they pretty much gave me the ticket only because they had to. But I know that pressing it in court won't do anything except cost me more money, so I'll just suck it up and pay.
Good to hear you are physically okay, just a bit sore! ::Big hugs:: Accidents do indeed suck, I was in one myself once... Not fun in the least, though yours sounds a bit more rough than mine.
Hope things will be okay for you out of this and the insurance will come through on the car soon too.
Shit man. Least you came out ok. But some one told me that things will get better, even though they are rough to begin with. Rest, get better, after that just calmly think on what your going to do. I wish there was a way I could help. =\ Life sucks at times.

Also, I mean ankle, not knee.
Yeah, it's technically true. But sitting at home on your couch is the safest form of transportation, by that logic.
