No FCN?
It looks like my plans to attend FCN this year are a no-go. The person who was going to room with me and help me at the con started a new job recently, and will not be able to get time off that weekend. So without someone I can depend on the whole weekend for assistance, it is just not possible for me to be there.
That means I have nothing on the schedule until MFM, which is pretty depressing. I would like to have something to cover the gap, as it were, but I am stuck.

I was too. It really really sucks, but cons, or doing just about anything for me, requires a lot of assistance. I need help getting in and out of suit, and I need a dedicated guide, due to my partial blindness. And often, due to my poor health, I need someone to take care of me and look out for me in case I have problems. That kind of trust/responsability is not a thing I can drop on someone I dont really know. And so I try to plan for cons months or even a year in advance, setting up with people whom I think I can depend on. But things happen, and that;s what happened this time. I haven't canceled the room yet, still hoping maybe someone can step up and help out, but it is doubtful. Now I am looking to fill the gap with something else, RCFM is a good possibility, but again, I have to find someone to room withh and help me. Next definite con is MFM.

You could always try something smaller? RCFM, possibly Morphicon? I know that King Elliot is doing a Spring Gathering this year, also.

I am looking at RCFM. The problem remaing the same. Being disabled, I need a lot of assistance, and so I have to find a roomie whom I can trust to help me out.
