Sorry for the trick but... An artist friend of mine is trying to sell off some stuff he doesn't really use to pay for a new monitor, and the prices are pretty good. Check it out:
For $500, a 2007 iMac with:
• 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
• 4GB G.Skill DDR2 RAM
• 320 GB hard drive
• ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 128MB GDDR3 graphics card (plays Starcraft 2 well)
• 320GB hard drive
• Integrated 802.11a/b/g/n Airport Extreme Wireless
• 20" 1680x1050 (16:10) LCD display
• Mac OS X Lion installed
• 8x double-layer SuperDrive (reads/writes all formats except HD discs like Blu-ray)
For $250, a 28" Hanns-G 1920x1200 monitor with:
• VGA in
• HDMI in (couldn't get the HDMI in to work, don't know if it's broken or we're just dumb—don't buy if you need HDMI in)
• Built-in Speakers, line-in and line-out
