So today, I sent one of my new hires home to change for wearing a "I <3 Gay Porn T-shirt". He informed me I was homophobic and that it was his: "right to free expression" to wear it. I said "tough luck go change". Would I wear that T-Shirt, yes, but, we work retail, I wear an oxford and tie to work, all I ask of the associates is that they way modest, unoffensive, clean attire. If it had said I <3 Gays, I would have let him wear it. Let me say he was shocked when my boyfriend came and picked me up for lunch. LOL. Here's the point to all this: Is it ever appropriate to wear anything with the word "porn" on it to work?
