A turn in the road..

My 30ish year old brother has 2 children of ages 6 and 7. Hes an also a divorced alcohalic. Well, his drinking caught up to him several weeks ago, and social services came and put the kids in foster care.
Meanwhile, still weeks ago, My grades in 2 classes are Fs because I no longer due the homework. This is mainly because I would fall asleep while doing it. Thats because I was working 34 hours a week, spaced in a way that I couldn't really nap and only get 7 hours of sleep if I wanted to stay clean and not do anything once I got off of work. I'm one of those people that need lots of sleep.
2 weeks ago, My parents stepped in, and told my boss that either I would get less hours or I wouldn't be working at all. (hes been looking since last october for someone else who can do night tech support, the employee market in town really sucks balls). I got my hours down to 19 a week. I had one week of school there were I just pretty much slept.
Then this week came, which is spring break! We get the entire week off of school! My brother from college, not the stupid 30ish year old one, comes home. For good times I by a wii, we have fun and I generally rest for the weekend.
Monday. Get woken up, find out that there is a legal battle over where exactly my niece and nephew are going to land while my brother gets his life cleaned up (on the months/years scale). He still wants them in the house. In the mean time, parents are all freaking out, we have to get the house cleaned just in case social services comes to check it out. The house is like a rancher house, full of junk, nothing really to make it pretty.
Lots of cleaning.
Tuesday the ex wife shows up in court, she wants the kids, more cleaning. My brother finilizes plans to have a Lan party thursday without parents knowledge.
Wednesday is the crazy day, the proposition that the kids should stay with us is started. More cleaning, If kids are gonna live with us then house has to meet social services saftey standards. 10 hour cleaning shift. Social service demands that the house they go to is 100% alchohal free, my heavy drinking dad resolves to give up alcohal.
Today My brother gets away with the lan party because he has responcibility of the building their doing it in and it would be canceled without him, I'm stuck at home cleaning the 10 hour shift, doing crazy shit like building a door for dads gun room. Its confirmed that everyone is happy with the kids staying here . Its scheduled for tommorow that social services will come and check the house, and that the court will do final decisions on wether or not they stay here. Everything is pointing toward yes. If everything goes well, they should be here tommorow night.
Life has been crazy shit lately, And is about to take a 90 degree turn. I was number 6 out of six children, and I'm pretty much about to get younger siblings 0-0;

I will say that younger siblings can be fun, but it's difficult sometimes. If they Idolize you, it can make things a lot easier.
Glad you got less hours, sorta, you won't make as much money but you'll rest more now :D
(What the hell? Gun room?)
