well most of my new computer arrived today. I decided to build my own, I am currently waiting for the motherboard and then I can put it all together, in the mean time I hooked up my new 20" widescreen LCD screen to my laptop so I can do the dual screen thing(which is fucking sick!) and realized something terrible.
My art all looks like garbage! Holy crap the colours are way way way way way to bright, ugh
I am not impressed. So tell me is it just me or is some of my more colourful art tooo colourful?
for example: http://brushfire.deviantart.com/art.....arsha-79851293
this picture looks like a naturally coloured bay on my laptop screen such as this picture:http://tidesend.deviantart.com/art/Horse-Power-40701095
(and that picture looks pretty gray on my laptop screen)
but when I view it on my new screen it looks terrible.
I am embarrassed to say the least, my artwork should start looking better now. I suppose I should have been suspicious when white and cream appeared to be the same colour on my laptop screen...

dont worry bout it too much hmm
is way too bright. the factory settings are usually at 100 brightness.
when using a new monitor I first set down the brightness value to
0 - and then it doesn't also hurt anymore in the eyes :)

You should either attempt to properly calibrate your new monitor yourself, get a professional to do it for you, or you should take the monitor back and exchange it for a monitor that you know from multiple reviews is one of good quality.
