I got quite the shock last night around Midnight. Cartoon Newtwork's Adult Swim block switched to an old Toonami format, brought back Tom and everything. Most of the Toonami footage was old, but they have a few new bumbs that Tom narrated (Mostly telling you to buy the DVDs of the classic shows they were running, a review of Mass Effect 3, and a Toonami bump for the next episode of Bleach). They had a wonderful 6 hour block with shows ranging from DBZ and Trigun, to Outlaw Star and Gundam Wing.

I have to say, it was one of the best things Cartoon Network has done in ages. I stayed up till 6 am just so I could watch the entire thing. It really reminded me how much better they were a few years ago, and its doubtful they will be that good again. But I was very grateful that, even for one night, I could take in the nostalgia.
