Well I'm Officially Homeless...

You have nothing to fear but fear itself...
Yesterday, my mother got a call from the bank about her house mortgage. She was behind on payments because my uncle and grandmother who live with her both lost their jobs and became disabled, so she wasn't able to pay the mortgage like she was supposed to. They called her today and told her they had foreclosed on the house and already sold it to someone else, and that she, my uncle and my grandmother have to be out in 2-3 weeks. The house was supposed to be my inheritance, and where I was planning on living with my mate, as my mom is living with her partner full-time now. I'm living with relatives elsewhere, but now I am staying with them permanently, as I don't have any other choice at the moment, being unemployed again and back in Tennessee. They never gave my mother any kind of notice, nor any kind of chance to fight it. She believes she's been railroaded and we're considering legal action because they never tried to give her any kind of notice of foreclosure or anything of the sort, written or phone call, even though she had stayed current on her contact information and had already made payment arrangements with the bank in the past. I really don't know what to think of the situation, I guess I just needed to vent it out. My dog of 10 years is going to the animal shelter because I have no where else to put him. He's about to be 11 years old, and I've had him since he was 11 weeks old. My nineteen year old cat may have to go with him. That's the worst part. I've had these animals for huge chunks of my life and now because of the bank's decisions, I'm about to lose them.

I'm absolutely positive that a bank cannot legally foreclose on a home without sending a notice. It's part of the process. There have been a lot of abuses from banks by illegally foreclosing on people when they had not crossed their t's and dotted their i's.
I'd fight them on this.
