What should the new character's name be?

So I need help on deciding the newbie's name.
The two names I've whittled it down to are: Solstice, and Analemma.
If you noticed as well as I did, yes, both of those names are words both having to do with the Sun. Why? Becsuse we're going over the Universe in my science class at school.
Also, I want both of the names to have nicknames. Solstice will be "Sol", and Analemma...I'm not sure yet.
But more importantly, the name thats chosen will also determine the color of her hair. Say for instance if Solstice is chosen, then her hair will be an orange-ish hue.
So please reply which name sounds better if youre reading this!

Analemma... unno. Sounds weird. Nicknames? Anal-no. no... emma..enema... too weird. Sol is okay. :}
