HELP!!!!! please...

So, I need help...not that kind of help, isnt a quack that could stay "sane" long enough to help me. No, I need help with something my mind is going over, I want to do a story/drawings, and what I need is monsters, not just your normal run of the mill monsters but your own monster, be creative.

Draw a picture of yourself waking up with a huge blast of adrenaline, ready for fight or flight - in a bedroom where only you are now present. How can you fight something that you can't see? How could you even run away from it? When would it be safe to stop? *hugs*
Just joking of course. Even if a large amount of humankind is destroying so much more then one or two monsters could possibly do.
UNless of course we are talking about creatures/artifacts that could destroy our dimension or have world ending potential.
