I have a Protestant mother and a Jewish father. My dads dad was Catholic and my dads mom is Jewish.
If I told them I were Atheist (which I am not, I'm Protestant) they'd laugh and tell me that they were proud of me for standing out and supporting my own decisions, and then not give a fuck because they don't care about religion.

Our religious motto is "We do it for the food."

Same as if I told them I were gay (I'm not gay...at least not seriously) they'd smile, hug me, and tell me what we were going to have for dinner, or tell me to do my homework, etc. They seriously don't give a fuck about that shit as long as I'm not pregnant, drunk, stupid, or a pothead.
