I finally found the time to go through all of the stuff that's been sitting in my inbox. And I even posted a speed paint! Wowee!
This doesn't necessarily mean I'll be active on here again quite yet. The semester's not over yet, and as it slowly reaches its end, I'm going to be more busy than ever. I may at least be able to keep up with my inbox again, now that I don't have 3000 submission sitting in it. Oof. I still need to go through my DeviantArt inbox, which has around 11,000 things in it...
Long story short, this semester has been just... really bad. For starters, 2nd semester of sophomore year is the busiest (or 2nd busiest) semester for music majors. One class in particular has been causing myself and everyone else in the class plenty of grief, as the workload is intense and the instructor is anything but sympathetic. On top of that, I've been having major issues with my roommate (I'd rather not go into details) which have totally deteriorated my mental health and made me feel like I have no "safe place." It's gotten to the point where I've started seeing a therapist weekly. According to one person I saw, it sounds to them like I have several symptoms of dysthymia (a form of depression), which... makes a lot of sense.
So basically I've been in a really bad place lately. I've actually felt pretty good these past couple of days though. Maybe I'll take advantage of this quiet Friday night and do some more painting.
At least classes end on the 30th.

It sucks to hearing that your school's workload is getting to you, but hey, the harder the work, the more rewarding it will be in the long run ;)
And there's no shame in seeing a therapist (i've already seen 2 in my lifetime, 1 I had to keep going back to after I quit going), especially if they're helping.
I hope you start feeling better soon, and I'm always here to talk if you want to vent; college life can get pretty overwhelming x_x
Thanks a lot <3 I hope everything's going well with you!
You've been making some really epic plushies, by the way! Seriously, it's inspiring how good you've gotten!
I only have to deal with her for the rest of the semester, then I'll have new roommates in the fall.
Buuuuut it's pretty bad. It's almost over though, at least.
Ahaha, it certainly can't be worse.
