Equal Stance [For Homosexuals]

It's weird seeing gay dudes whine about equal rights, then openly talk about womens' bodies in such a vehement, negative manner.
TMI, but hey. I'm bisexual; I don't have an issue in the slightest when it comes to chicks that I find attractive, and at one time, I saw myself with a wife and daughter. But I currently lean towards guys and see myself in a relationship with a dude. I like either sex for their own reasons, and the saying that "I like men for men things and women for women things" definitely comes into play for me, and I honestly haven't been with a chick in about I wanna say seven years now outside of heavy flirting, second base at the best.
aybe it's the "neutral ground" that gives me the viewpoint I have, but to see people on this site go on about being ostracized, or how Furries are "fursecuted" for being weird, or how Gay [men] are oppressed, then talk about how women have gross bodies and how straight sex creeps you the fuck out, I've seen enough gay fetishes that are gross in my eyes enough to sabotage any dude's even remotely bi-curious opinion. As much as I loves me some man-ass, for one, vaginas have less shit involved, just sayin!
I know it's the Internet and this seems like I'm White Knighting, but honestly, I make "kitchen" jokes every so often to put uber-feminists on edge, just like I do make fun of stereotypically gay men. Hell, I'm pretty callous in my humor, at times. I'm not particularly outraged, and hey, people have their opinions. But just keep in mind that you're acting pretty much like the people that are "oppressing" you when you spit outright hate, it seems moot. There's a time for joking, and there's a time to think for a sec and understand the ramifications of your words.
Granted, if you want to hurt feelings, have at. It's a free world, nothing's stopping you and it's the way shit goes down on the Internet. Just don't wanna see a boomerang from you in particular when X cause that you believe in or are a part of is conflicted in some way. It's a lil ridonkulous
So let's go back to our M-Preg tentacle shitting dicknipple incestuous dogdick porn and get murry with it dammit! And if you're not into any of this, what the fuck is wrong with you, you don't know what you're missing!

FA+

but I dont mind the female figure. Its friggin cool to draw if you can do it right
however, i dated a female, loved her a lot, still do a little, but it showed me that kind of love can only go so far
As much as I loves me some man-ass, for one, vaginas have less shit involvedI see what you did there.
But I agree with you.
But that's just my viewpoint on this is.
Again, hmmm....
I try not to be annoying or "that girl", but it does hurt my feelings to see people act that way. (And then some of these people turn around and try to commission me after they've offhandedly insulted me by insulting my gender. Ugh.)
Chicks are great because you don't have to hike their legs over your shoulders when you want to face them. That's pretty nice and there's less complaints of cramps and awkward muscle tension- TMI btw!
-) Gay-men, Furries, Feminists, Religious people-- all of them share the similar motif of having an agenda for self-preservation, and superfluous, asinine, or deceitful natures. Furries are no more innocent than Sodom and Gomorrah, as gays are no more 'oppressed' than Feminists. All of these personal vices and asinine dogma are leading pretty much everything without a head on its shoulders down the drain.
I am bi as well and I think you explained what it is to be bi rather well.
I think I'll start using this one from now on ^^
oh, it feels terrific when that sort of thing is said to you in person
Works for me!
I just try to stay as neutral as possible on this kind of ideological chest-thumping, and not take what people who are far out on either side of the moral scale say too seriously.
your choice of words has the elegance of poetry! XD
Rights are focusing on how we are all the same, when we are so different from each other. I just find it hilarious that everybody's still focusing on this in this day and age instead of accepting that yes, we're all the same species, now let's show how our individual pieces fit into this big puzzle instead of acknowledging that we're all simply pieces of one, if that makes sense
I also have gay male friends who love to look at pictures of women -- they appreciate it for what it is, even if they don't desire it sexually.
It's calling them vile, disgusting, revolting, among the plethora of misogynistic things I've seen gay furs spout off on FA.
Gays face the latter. Trying to compare the two is rather insulting.
Nigger, by the way. How's that make you feel and why, just curious. Be honest! :)
Also what?
You talk about how different disrespect and hate is to fighting against what? Gaining rights? Why are gays ostracized, as were people that weren't white and women? I'm not disrespecting anything, you're not thinking things out because you're indifferent to a part of the whole problem, from what I get. Misunderstanding and ignorance has to start somewhere.
unless Obama becomes President again, you can kiss that goodbye, because we all know what Rick Santorum/Mitt Romney thinks about gays
Now I just laugh really annoyingly and yell FAGGGGS and it kinda shuts things up.
No really, it does, because the people who hang around me know I'm joking and the ones that are doing the stupid shit that don't, leave.
I can recognise if a woman is attractive [they just aren't in a sexual way,] I really don't see the attraction of tits [and GTFO moobs] but I've yet to see even a pleasant looking vagina [it's been close a few times but most, even in published skin mags] look like the predators mouth XD Even when I was straight I didn't like the look of them.
The ones who insult straight people are just morons and should be ignored, though unless they are actively trying to take away the rights of straight people it in no way is a good comparison.
It's okay to dislike things. It's not cool to be rude about it, but I don't care that much.
But there's a difference between thinking vaginas are gross, and trying to forbid people with them to marry.
The difference between opinion and discrimination. It's big. Unless you think people can't dislike things anymore? Or mention it?
Am I saying that Chic-Fil-A is right? I don't think so, but outside of pointing out that it exists and poking fun at it, I'm not gonna burn the places down or actively hiss and boo at every person that eats there. And as much of a focus as this journal seems to be, gods knows that I've stood on the gay side of things way more than sticking up for female respect. It's just amusing that nobody's actually reading the journal thoroughly before beating the almost-dead horse about equal rights for gays, which I give about four more years to happen nationally, especially if Obama's reelected.
So true
And the not-gay thing spread like a wildfire, every major comic out there has that theme now loool
WHAT HAVE WE CREATED TYRONE
but nah, there's been straight stuff around for ages, I guess more people are doing it now
i was like are you serious? lol we musta left a mark back in the days about this shit hhaha
when you drew me with that dwarf dude haha
I miss back then :/
alots changed since then its crazy as fuck lol
back to 07 pls
But always remember there's people who are more equal than others.
The only people who should state their thoughts are the artists, since they're in charge of what they draw, and should let their watchers know if they feel like it.
People who only look for porn, need to shut the hell up and look around for porn that is to their liking. Seriously, this is the freaking internet.
Of course, that doesn't mean you should to use your right to freedom of speech to be an asshole.
1) You have the right to say whatever you want.
2) You DON'T have the right to make people shut up if they say something you don't like.
3) You should not use "freedom of speech" as an excuse to be a dick.
America!
"You are the owner of your silence, but the slave of your words"
Point being that, with all the weird-ass fetishes you see in this fandom, the biggest complaint tends to be pissy queers complaining about female anatomy being gross? Bet they must hate the thought of knowing they were conceived through a certain part of the female anatomy. This is just basic common decency! It's understandable if a gay man is not attracted to women, but don't say their privates are gross! Bet they wouldn't like it if a woman said teir privates look like mishapen hernias or tumors.
Oh, thought to add this too. Know what else related to this seriously pisses me off to hear/read? When I see gay guys say that gay men can give other men better sex than women can because "it takes a man to know what a man likes". And I see this springing up even more often when it's gay men trying to coax straight men into having gay sex with them. The whole concept is so fucking stupid! It's sex, not rocket science designed for just one gender! It does not take being a man to know that blowjobs feel great and ass-fucks can be awesome, and being a man does not automatically make you an expert on the subject nor does it make women be ineffectual at those specific tasks, you retarded motherfuckers!
I love that some furries will openly try and judge others because of their fetishes. You are jacking off to a dog dick god damnit. I wish people would just try and be more understanding. Everybody wants to be accepted.
I'd be willing to bet that any survey in which orientation was a factor would show that gay men are less likely than our hetero brothers be be sexists. Even if we're talking about a specific type of sexism (ie, the "vaginas are gross variety), I've heard plenty of fish jokes and period jokes from my straight friends.
Just like the comments in this journal. I sense a tinge of hypocrisy here, too.
Oh well, people will be people. I'll stick to my own morals, I suppose.
For you to be bi, I think it's easier szer impartial, but I like men and just have my fetishes, I prefer not to judge others to also not be judged.
Well before you see the problems of others is best to repair our own problems
We are all very vindictive people. We don't want "equality", we want "retribution"
I just want to draw ):
I'm ASIAN.
I get angry if they say something bad, but I guess even more angry if they say something good.
Asian is kewl. I'm latino by place of birth, but my genetic heritage is mostly european.
I also believe the reason there is so much taboo on sexuality in general is because people are taught to be ashamed of their bodies from a young age, which generally affects the way they feels about different types of human bodies. We're all guilty of it, but it won't kill people to have a little more open-mindedness about this shit. I often make fun of vaginas and call them gross, but in reality... I can look at a naked woman and not feel disgust. Hell, I've had to take care of my dad after a stroke, bathing him and dressing him, and also doing the same for my mother.
In actuality, when you are forced to see parents naked, you can easily put sexualization of the human body aside and just accept people for what they look like, and what gender they are. Just because I don't get a boner when I see a naked chick doesn't mean I'm so appalled I need to fake vomit and run out of a room screaming. I can see gay or straight art and not really feel any kind of disgust, except I might wank to one while just admiring the beautiful colors of the other.
And the point I think you're missing, Shininglion, is this post was really about liking human bodies in general and being mature about it instead of making a person feel awful because of someone's disrespectful comments. Or, in the case of this site... if you accidentally click on straight porn, or see your favorite artist has created straight porn instead of Rover fisting Mr. Ed, don't fucking go on and on about how disgusting the female anatomy is.
I do agree that the title of this journal is a bit misleading.
When you touch a nerve with someone and you didn't say anything offensive, it's quite obvious that person is trying to justify their dumb-fuckery by turning what you didn't say against you. Of course, they then unwatch you and go rant in their journals about how much people suck.
So I wouldn't understand why those men who make those comments about women being gross are also the ones that don't appreciate the persecution on their being, but it's only acceptable for THEM to be making those comments. It shouldn't be accepted as a whole for either party to be making any hateful comments towards the other.
Your basic argument sounds like "Well, gays are mistreated by society, so therefore gays should mistreat women." <____> which, again, two wrongs don't make a right. Because to a degree, that could be forcing a sexual viewpoint on others as well.
If you think that a person should be about to state their personal opinion, then you should actually let that thought sink into your mind and acknowledge that others are entitled to their opinions as well. If I want to state that I think that it's an immoral concept to think it's perfectly cool for a gay man to shun women based on their gender, then I see it just being equal.
My opinion is that a person should not be encouraged to express open hatred on anybody for any reason at all. It's not right. There's far too much evil in this world as it is.
"Well, this woman did nothing to me, but because I'm being oppressed by society, I'll treat her like she's a vile disgusting creature because of how she was born." <-- That's basically what you're saying should be acceptable. Hence why I'm saying two wrongs don't make a right.
Cool.
Also you can't say anything back to me because that would be oppression.
Also, historically women have been treated just the same. As personal property. As mere breeding devices. If you want to play that card, we can definitely go there, and it is definitely still going on today. Like the person you're responding to said, two rights don't make a wrong. There is no reason to be vile about another person.
This is on par with the chick who told me last week that because I'm Hispanic, I have the right to be a bigot. Oookaayy.
only because they "accidentally" downloaded gay sex and may have "unintentionally" gotten hard watching it. Why do you think Rick Santorum is all up in gay business all the time? Why do you think he wants to get rid of porn (especially gay porn)? He doesn't want to get anymore hard-ons when he sees a penis!
C'mon, it's not like we have a say in the matter of what our reproductive system looks like!
What grosses me out is close ups of the inside of a vagina, but I think I would be grossed out by the inside of a penis, too.
I am not insulted to hear gay men call what I have between my legs gross, actually I agree that vaginas could be prettier, but I don't think penises are all that pleasing to the eye, either. Nothing against sex, though...
I am nowhere near concerned about a straight man's thoughts on my body if he finds it acceptable to begin with, I am concerned when anybody of any sexuality tells me that my body is unattractive due to its flaws. It's not about trying to attract the person so much as just wanting to be accepted for how you are. That's what the issue is with gays, right? Women aren't much different in that category.
I have a lot of gay friends, a lot of bi friends, a lot of pan friends, a lot of asexual friends. I would never find it acceptable for any of them in whatever category to pick and make fun of anybody because of the way they were born.
Don't try to define women and how we think just because of a group of friends that you may or may not have, because you don't know us as a whole.
And then after said gay guy is done insulting my genitals/ body, he will turn around and ask me for free art. Oh, furries.
Also, I'm sorry <:[
But still dying hahahaha
i think that while its definitely a thing that can cause hurt feelings, its important to look at the source i guess. im somewhat rambling, but hopefully my point is semi-coherent :P
Yes, vaginas are kind of slimy and sometimes smell weird and are well, not attractive to people. I am more understanding of those insults (although they sting a little, I didn't pick to get saddled with one!), but the "Fat cow" esque comments that are also tacked on to the end, and the comments about how evil and awful people we are just because we are women, that really hurts. I've struggled with the "you're the worst person ever because you're a girl and are girls are manipulating monsters" for a long time. Vagina insults = understandable, but incredibly rude. Pinning a personality type on all women = no tolerance from me.
But really, there's a lot of guys who don't buy into it, who like curvier girls or smaller breasts, and probably would be more variety if there wasn't all the social pressure. Of course, there will always be women and men wanting and trying to achieve perfection.
As for me...am I hurt by most straight men's ideals? No. I've barely ever cared, either a guy will like me for me, or he won't, and even if he does, doesn't mean I'm interested. But overall, I have more important concerns over that which I 'could' change if I wanted to, more important things to do than to be beautiful.
Am I hurt when a gay guy says 'Ewww boobs/vag'? Yes. Because I didn't have a say in whether or not I'm female. I like being 'me', but by harping on a female's reproductive organs on which she had no bloody choice.....makes me feel like I'm less because of my gender. That which I have tried to combat and make work for me. Driving stakes into concrete in 99F, setting up 60x40 waterproof canvas tents, bucking bales of hay, working harder than most men on the crew....and I still couldn't walk a camel on a certain crew because I'm 'a girl'. Every time....every single time I see a comment like that....reminds me I'm female. I am a victim of my gender. Something I couldn't control.
But the flipside of that is respect. My love of small chests means I'm never going to +watch, say, blitza, nor do I expect him to +watch me anytime soon. Still, that doesn't mean the appropriate answer is to start leaving comments on all his submissions about how icky big boobs are and how much hotter they would be if only he would make them flat and so on (or for him to do the inverse to me.) I have my tastes, he has his, and we're both allowed to chase them without insulting each other or degrading each other's interests to the point of seeming shameful. SHOCKING, I KNOW.
Even then, though, the worst part is the collateral damage. If some sort of insult fight like that ever did happen, and someone were to tell me how much gross my character is the way she is and how much prettier she would be with boobs and a sandwich, I'd be miffed depending on how much of a jerk they were being about it, but, you know, my fetishes are one thing. It sucks, but I'll live. However, if I happen to have a watcher with http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.p.....ain/A-CupAngst who reads that comment and it's like a punch in the gut to her, well, that is just not acceptable.
Seriously people, get over it , get your coffie, eat your breakfest go to work, go home, hit the (gay)bar pick up someone go home have (gay)sex / repeat

ya feel like crusing over to sweden let me know, i love international visits!
I've seen healthy, nubile women including furry porn and playboy, so I know I've seen good and fantasy size boobs and ass and snatch. And I do say eww, but only if you insist in pushing it in my face and insisting I like it. All my life I've been around hetero as if it's a world religion and I'm some sort of heretic because I don't worship at the altar of st. Vagina. That because I am not engaged in the process of procreation, that I am some unforgivable sinner.
From my point of view, the world has too many people already. It was crowded enough when I was born - over 3 billion - and has doubled in population in my lifetime. The human creature is the only animal that procreates without knowing there are resources to support its young. Even rabbits don't multiply when food is scarce. Their own pregnancy can reverse if conditions to support a new litter become scarce. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, anti-choice supporters. Even a rabbit mother can choose when to birth or not.
But back to me, I don't hate, I just don't lie. Something doesn't arouse me in the least, doesn't make me want to look at it, I'll tell someone that if they are showing me it. If it doesn't come up in conversation, I usually keep quiet about it. But I wanted to make the record straight that Kinsey did make a scale, and there are people who are solidly on one end and the other. The solid heterosexuals are not all homophobes, and the solid homosexuals are not all women haters.
The only true blanket statement is that all blanket statements are false.
Also, Incestuous M-Preg Tentacles? I think I should look into this o,o
(Actually, I find most living things interesting, even sea birds like the blue-footed booby.)
I understand people commenting on the icky-ness of a vagina (I think it is terribly rude, but I can understand it, not a huge fan of having one, not that I had a choice in the matter), but the comments about how all women are evil creatures that just exist to suck the happiness out of the world... that stings. Everyone is a unique individual with unique desires and traits that make them awesome. Everyone deserves respect and to not be thrown into some bin, especially not for something they can't control, like a gender, race, or (arguably, I guess) sexuality. Being polite is not that hard... if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
I agree with you, it's kinda fun to poke fun at both sides, and they both need it or ask for it via how silly they get sometimes. Shit gets takin too seriously. I say this fucking thing all the time and I'ma say it again...
Theres' 7 billion motherfuckers on the planet. Not everyone is gonna be exactly like you!
So there needs to be a summit, a peace gathering, where the true cooze AND man-gina, can come together in harmony:P. To each their own yo.

::bows deeply:: Thank you for posting this, Rrowdy.
But yeah, it's quite silly. But that's the way things tend to go.
Props to you speaking up for whats right my dude.
You opinion be your opinion and their opinion be theirs... and I be a spazzy furry WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! *Runs in circles*
j/k, I did
I recently discovered the work of Richard Corben, and I love how he draws both guys and gals (and seems to sexualise them equally).
I'm a (straight) chick, and I find these comments to be rude and immature at best, to be downright offensive and hurtful at worst. Being victimized, as has been said before, doesn't give one the right to go out and attack others. If one doesn't like something, well, don't fave that particular work, or don't watch that artist.
Personally, I find such comments as being a slap in the face. I've embraced GBLT issues, I have GLBT friends, family, and mentors. I have been rather notorious offline in my own family (and even my --extremely-- conservative and homophobic community) for being pro-homosexual marriage and adoption. In other words, to those who post such comments about women please don't attack my gender. It just isn't nice - it's plain immature and rude.
Equal is equal, even when it's not convenient.
I guess I just don't know what it's trendy to bash on straight people. I've never had anyone say anything to me in person but I think people have a little too much freedom with the hate that spews forth on this site. I know some girls that are actually quite offended and upset by these comments.
I'm glad someone has the good sense on hear to realize that is wrong, regardless of a persons sexuality.
It barrels down to maturity level of the individual. Not the gender.
In the future, I have a hunch that pregnancy will no longer exist... we'll grow babies in glass chambers filled with amniotic fluids.
The whole idea of people whining about them being repressed or denied of rights because of what they are, and the following second they are acting the same way against another group disgusts me. We are all people, and we all have the same rights and obligations to one another, period. The more people trully understands and accepts other groups the more people will understand and accept yours... just my opinion.
Hehe, I know this is not really part of this journal, but as a way to describe hetero, homo and bi sexuals in my personal point of view.. is .. If we take the likeness to men and women as the colours black and white, Everybody has a little bit of both colours, the diference between each type depends on where they are situated in that huge vastness of the grey gamma and how wide their comfort range is within the whole spectrum. Personally I oscilate near the middle and have a very wide range of comfort ^^
Just my humble opinion ^^
Gosh, thank you, Fen. I love you, really do. One of my best buddys ever.
What the F*** does one have anything to do with the other? Seriously, we don't base what rights we give people on how mature certain members of their minority are.
This has nothing to do with being gay or straight either. Certain people just can't deal with anything outside their own sexuality with out screaming, "EWW!", and doing the icky dance. And I really don't think you want to compare numbers on which side is more tolerant.
I am not remotely traumatized by Angelina Jolie's tits. Given the choice, I'd prefer they played less of a roll in the action films I've paid to see. I however don't boycott, talk about how straight people are shoving their sexuality down my throat, or protest outside the theater.
I once knew a guy who was gay and always referred to all women as 'fish'. This always pissed me off as it was just vulgar and masogenistic. I tried to explain this to him, but he was too much of an idiot to comprehend. Needless to say I don't bother with him anymore. There's just no need for that kinda attitude. And to be honest, I'm surprised to see that kinda attitude on here. After all, the content of this website isn't going to be to the taste of the general public, and would get the same kinda stigma.
People in glass houses...?
Love in all forms is beautiful the fact of gender is inconsequential, I don't care who you are, what color you are, what religion you are, and i really don't care what sexuality you are we are all people we are all just trying to live.
I like me the men bits other female bits do nothing for me but I can appreciate the body in all its forms.
It's nice to see the neutral side I wish more people could be like you Rrowdy.
More related, I think it just boils down to the fact that too many people have this obsession with getting all up in other people's business. A younger me may have been the same way, but now that I'm older I realize we're all just people trying to make it through with the experiences we've had.
I mean, if your not attracted to that particular sex, then whatever, everyone has a preference. Some have a much wider preference, but no matter what people have a right to like who/what they want. Though I don't see any reason to start slandering other genders because your not attracted to them. Would be like commenting publicly about a certain body type you are not attracted to int he least and just ripping into how much you hate all the characteristics that make your stomach turn. Personally, how would you feel if that were you, fitting that description and reading all this hate pointed at you for how you look or how you were born. Not cool IMO.
Hell, I'm straight, but I can still see how sexy women are. I find as an artist, all those curves and lovely boobies are just too much fun and purdy not to draw and enjoy. Men have wonderful features too that are just lovely to draw, I don't see why anyone has to openly hate on one or the other. Everyone is beautiful in some way or another. Best to focus on the beauty in all, instead of lingering on what you find ugly.
--Kyuu<3
i don't get why so many guys on this site hate boobs/vag yet it's totally hot if it is a herm :p
Luckily it looks like the majority of people responding here agree that this sort of behavior/attitude is offensive, rude, and immature. Those who wish to act this way toward women, if they aren't just lashing out due to prejudice against gays, seem to have indeed forgotten about neutrality--it is possible to not be turned on without being disgusted, to neither love nor hate something, to be uninterested rather than virulently opposed or passionately in favor. And even those who are reacting to such ill treatment...it's still overreacting. Two wrongs don't make a right, and just because something may personally repulse you (or heaven forbid, simply not appeal to you) doesn't mean you can go around trumpeting this fact loudly everywhere and to everyone. Show some restraint, people, please...just because you can say something doesn't mean you should.
