I've found something that irritates the hell out of me. rant

People who swear fealty to their political party.
Or, people who think their party/religion/way of life has all the answers, including those who think anyone not from their religion/from the opposing political party/a differing way of life are scum.
I used to be a republican. Fuck that. I got so sick of "I have all the answers and if everyone was a god fearing, red meat eating, suv driving patriot like me, the world would be perfect" bullshit coming from people like oriley and santorum (spell check keeps saying "sanitarium" which is where he belongs). I was embarrassed to be in the same party as them. But it goes both ways, kiddos. Hyper liberalism is just as bad. Use your brains, people. Liberty is a gift, but just as importantly, it is a responsibility. Every human has the right to do as they see fit as long as they are not hurting anyone else. It's wrong to impose your way of life on everyone because YOU think it's right.
Quit telling people that they have the right to live the way they see fit, and then trying to make a million laws restricting their right to live as they see fit.
You're all hypocrites, and I think that we need to get some younger, less insane and less "set in their ways" politicians in our house and senate.
If you think you have all the answers you could not be further from the truth. A wise man understands how little he knows.
I welcome anyone to challenge my beliefs, because if they do it gives me a little insight in to how they feel and think about the issue and I can take that in to consideration. You know what? since I've started doing that, I've changed a lot of how I believe. I like to think it's been for the better.
