Sherlock (BBC)

Let me start by saying I hate the BBC. I'm sure it's just a cultural difference in entertainment but I really can't stand more than 3 minutes of any show.
Except Sherlock. Holy smokes this is creativity. They've translated Doyle, who wrote for his time period, to today's time period and it works fantastically. For the most part.
I watched both seasons in 2 days. The way they replace pipe smoking with nicotine patches was hilarious. The guy who plays both him and Dr. Watson are excellent. And I think they're about as good as Robert Downy Jr. playing him now in the movies. I think I still like the movies a bit better though but only because I'm a sucker for period pieces that play loose with the rules and realism. Hahah.

Funny how you'll never, ever, EVER see anyone in the US with that name.
