I've been thinking a lot recently.. Just in general about how much I adore the furry community.
It's open to all sorts of oddities and weirdo's, socially awkward people, various kinks and interests, just everything.
If it's part of who you are the furry community respects that while some of us may not agree with it.
I LOVE that about the community and everyone in it is generally pretty nice.
Of course with any community there is going to be those poor sports and people you just don't really want to be around but even then there are plenty that you do.
And those people that you might not want to be around have others that do want to be around them and be friends with them.
It seriously brought tears to my eyes just thinking of how much of a family these people really are and how accepting and loving a lot of them seem to be. Even with your problems they'll care for you.
Everyone has problems and their own weirdness and people understand and accept it, even celebrate it.
I just adore that fact because I've lived with the opposite of that my whole life. I've had people ignore me, hate me, tease me, even beat me up for being who I am.
To everyone out there like me, I love you all and you will find your place no matter what or who you are. Even if I haven't had the best experiences with you, or you don't like me or know me at all. I care for you in a sense, one way or another and I really hope you know that. If not before then now, because you are all beautiful in one way or another and there will always be someone out there that see's you this way. There's always someone out there that will accept and love you for who you are and what you do. I have plenty of friends who aren't furry's at all and they support and love me all the same. I know I'm probably being redundant and over explanatory (beating a dead horse.) But I just really needed to get this out.
I just wish there was a way I could do more for this community because it has helped me SO much.
I mean, I don't have a suit, I'm not a huge artist, or someone that everyone loves.. I'm pretty much a nobody, at least nobody special..
I can't dance and I'm not really talented in anything so I don't know what I could do that would contribute. I don't even have enough money to attend cons and even bills are a trouble sometimes...
I have a hard time even talking to people let alone going to fur meets in the area... So all I end up doing is sitting in my room, typing this on my
computer and wishing that I could do something big in this community, that I could help organize things for people like cons or meets, maybe even get to be a good enough artist to be well known and meet plenty of people so that I CAN help in some way. I don't really know what I'm getting at but that's just my two sense.

No matter how many Cons a true Fandom has they make up in Pros!
Anime-cons, Sci-fye cons, Furries. I love sub-cultures~

you are someone special though, and you do have talent.
like you I have a hard time getting to local meets, and I've never been to a con but I learned something in the 3 years I've been actively part of the furry fandom.
you dont have to have a fursuit, or go to Con's, or meets or even be popular to make a big impact in it. all you got to do is be yourself, help afew people. and they wont ever forget that you did it. eventually they will spread word of you among their friends, and so on and so forth through their friends, friends, friends.
my contributing factor to FA was a group.
But yeah I see where you're coming from, I'm glad you were moved by my little rants though.
I hate to be "This fur" But I've been a furry for pretty much my whole life because I was born into the fandom.
I'm one of those lucky furs that has an accepting parent and their parent themselves is actually a fur.
Either way, I'm sure I'll find my place, and I'm working on going to a meet this Saturday actually.
