Cause I can. Also people complain too much about this nonsensical crap. This website isn't a democracy. Their rules, too bad. I always take this approach when using a service I don't pay a dime for.

True, it is free. But, they also want the feedback from users and when they get it, they hate you for it. You may not pay to use this site, but it is driven by the user base/community. If there is no one using the site, there is no reason to keep it up. If you piss off everyone that uses the site, you might as well just close it down.

Let see, people will forget about all this in about 24 hours. The offending picture will be posted elsewhere and those disgruntled enough will leave this website.

Funny that this has nothing to do with rules since that's the whole argument, there is no rule about this suggestive photographs. I guess you fail to realize that we don't pay with money but the site does make money from us (sponsors and ads). Just cause someone says one thing doesn't mean we have to unquestionably follow it.

It's why I said, other options are available. Go to them if you're unsatisfied here. Who says I can't complain? :V I like to contribute to the noise while being a hypocrite. It's the furry way.

Oh I here you there. I enjoy a bit of noise and things being pushed. It keeps us all from being mindless zombies following the mass. However going "somewhere else" doesn't help anything. What if I told you (which I never would) "If you don't like furries complaining about this situation then go somewhere else." That is completely unhelpful and irritating.

That's the thing though, there are better alternatives out there. They just lack the user base. It's like giving a person medicine they didn't know they needed. I wouldn't mind a mass exodus to say... Sofurry, though I don't think their service could handle the strain of what happens here on FA. But disgruntled users of this website should ultimately look elsewhere if they can't get what they need here.

Well my argument is for and against about these situations. It's more like, let people complain and don't patronize them for doing so. People need and should express freedom of speech and I know that sounds kinda hypocritical because I'm telling you not to do something. However if you disagree then disagree. Say I'm with Furaffinity and think that these suggestive photos should be taking down because blah blah blah. Then again continue to call them whiners and idiots, opinions are opinions.

But but!... It's what I do! I have a track record for this. :V So I will continue to do so! I actually believe in it and stick to my guns on it. Then again I know I'm on the fringes of his fandom given what my reaction is to most of what people do and say on here. *Shrug*

Depends on how prevalent other alternative websites are at that point. I doubt they would break from their roots and suddenly disallow pornography.

A good chunk of the problem at this point stems from the order in which these rules are implemented. It would have been easier to set the rules from the start and only then make small modifications afterward. Y!Gallery was a shining example of this. There could not exist a single boob on that website or else the image would be removed and a suspension distributed to the user, and that was the premise of that website since it's inception.

In hindsight, the admins probably regret not creating a AUP that reflects a restricted mindset from the get go, and as a result we have these arguments over what is acceptable and what is not. That way when you enter this site you can agree to the ToS and AuP and the content uploaded will abide by that. Killing off cub on this website was a big deal for so many people, it was viewed as a freedom of speech abuse, even though the content was questionable on legal grounds.

Right now exists a really delicate balancing act, and the administration has to very carefully craft their words and actions. I don't know the full circumstances regrading this, however This one link to fender suggestively grinding into the bed might be seen to the administration as "poor taste" for what reflects their website. I don't know who owns that specific Fender costume, however should it be the "official" costume, it may be viewed as an abuse of that imagery. It's one thing if rule 34 can be applied, however if the official costume is being misappropriated in some way like this, that brings a whole new topic to this discussion.

A friend of mine just underwent a procedure to remove a bladder stone, fortunately he said it wasn't as bad as he'd heard.

Well if the admins did their job in the first place, they wouldn't have to keep changing/deleting submissions. Its not the userbase's fault that the management has no clue what they fuck the rules even are anymore.

My lion pic was taken down. No warning, no explanation, it was just -gone- I know it doesn't violate a damn thing in the AUP, so, I think some admin is just being drunk with power. Or, acting out, who knows, admins are furries too, and are just as much into causing drama, as the user base is.

Take it or leave it I guess. The userbase blows it out of proportion and results in shit like this. People complaining. I wish it were stricter like Y!Gallery where everyone knew what was allowed and what wasn't.

I'll just re-upload whatever they take down. None of what I have violates the AUP. But a pic of mine was taken down. Explain that one, and how its my fault, and why I shouldn't be 'waaaah'ing over it. :p

I don't know how well this site is run, but obviously they need to have better guidelines and a much more elaborate documentation on acceptable uploads. Better communication, etc. In hindsight, I bet they were wishing they had a more strict AUP in the first place, instead of adding and patching it up as they go along as they deem content unfit for this website. Y!Gallery would not allow any content of a certain type, and everyone knew what would be acceptable and not very quickly, the mods as well.

At least you admit its not solely the usebase's fault. We can't be blamed for them dropping the ball, time after time.

It's only so problematic when the userbase is established. If I had my own website I'd build it under the premises of no sonic porn, no SL images, no photographs.. just hand drawn imagery, people would join under those premises and would choose to adhere to those groundrules.

Whenever they lift a finger to change something on here though, it's considered a loss of free speech, even though when you join this website you agree to the TOS among all that other garbage. I don't think they go about it the right way, and they don't explain themselves well enough.

Wll but they have too much free time to keep changing the AUP and TOS instead of making the site actually work.
