I didn't really announce I was heading to FCN this year, as plans before hand were a bit shaky, but I had some help and support prior and was fortunate enough to make it up there to give it a try.

FCN seriously became one of my favorite cons after this weekend. I went in not really knowing what to expect, and honestly I hadn't heard much of this con in general, but even when first arriving, I started off impressed. Nice con layout in a really convenient hotel location, really friendly staff work that went as smooth as could be, and I was surrounded by some of the best people I've ever had in my life the entire weekend. From beginning to end, I absolutely loved the weekend I had. Especially thankful for  theomeraccoon for not only convincing me to go, but for making the whole weekend possible for me in the first place, as well as every single person I got to spend close time with, and even those I simply got to see again in passing.

Sure, every con has friend meetups, handshakes, and funtimes and such, but this one really felt different to me. I really felt closer to MANY of my friends on a more personal basis. There wasn't much suity time at all, and the fact that FCN is always considered to be a chill con proved to live up to that title! I haven't had a seriously chill con like this before. Sitting / laying around, yapping it up and joking around; hell it may have been lazy, but wow just having that kind of quality time with so many friends was really a treat for me. There wasn't any hurry to be to any events, there wasn't anything missed either. It all ran smoothly together from place to place, really.

In all, it was really special time for me. I could go on and on about it, but keeping it real, this con truly cemented the fact that I absolutely know some of the best people I could ever meet. I don't know how I was lucky enough to ever find the groups that I have, but I've never felt closer and have had more trust in each and every person I've grown to call a true friend of mine. I couldn't have asked for a better con experience, by any means. :)
