FCN 2012 Con Report

We pen our fate to the parchment of time...
Hey everyone!
Been a long time since I did a journal, huh? Anyway I'll share with ya'll my experience in the Mid-West!
Yes, I went to FCN2012. I know, I wasn't very vocal about it BUT it was a blast regardless. Plus getting to surprise a few friends when they saw me there was almost worth it! Anyway, I left California Wednesday night with
radjinwolf and landed early Thursday morning. Radjin's family is actually from Detroit so we spent Thursday with them and I had so many questions answered about Radjin's mannerisms! But alas, that's not for a journal!
Radjin and I hit up the con Friday and roomed with
brutusdbernard and Wolfine (Brutus' boyfriend, I can't find him on FA anywhere!) We'd been chatting on Twitter for almost a year and were close enough as friends that we felt comfortable enough to room with them.
What else can I say? I got to see
Tahoe debut his fursuit for the first time and I got to post one of the first pictures of it on Twitter (complete with hat thievery!), got to hang out with people like 
duskdargent and 
NovaShepherd and various other people. I actually watched my first fursuit parade even though this was my fourth con.
The bar at FCN was amazing! Definitely a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy reasonably priced drinks. The bartenders were all amazing, fully into the con and had a good time. One of them, I believe the one who was actually in the con's contract, made me a Portal shot with red and blue liquids and I had to share it with a friend per her orders. She wouldn't, sadly, tell me what was in it but the blue one had a distinct raspberry and blueberry taste.
The location, the people, everything was awesome. I had so much fun at FCN2012 that I'm more than certain I'll go back again. It was definitely fun stepping out of my West Coast bubble and seeing a whole new group of furs and seeing very few California furs for a change. I'm always up and open for meeting new people and making new friends. FCN2012 definitely accomplished that for me. It also made me realize how badly I want a fursuit. Mostly because Brutus was a fursuit whore and stopped every one we passed.
Oh yeah, I also got a few awesome sketches. Two by
markhale and 
Bauske with one being a Portal reference! I'll try and get them scanned in later.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun and will more than likely be there for FCN2013!

But it was also awesome hanging out with you. I'll never forget your look on Saturday night at the Sponsor Lounge. I think you know what I'm talking about. =P
