This weekend the pack, well, Woulfe anyway & Mister Pawz & a friend will be at the 2012 Star Fest
What is Star Fest you might ask ? ( Hold on this will take awhile to explain to y'all )
It's a Sci-Fi / Fantasy / Horror / Comics / Games / Multi-Media / Convention
It started out as a Star Trek only convention back in the 70's
( you know, back inna day when these things got started and only fans ran them )
As the years went on other things were added to it 'till it grew to the size that it is now
It's run by fans for fans, again something that is rare with Creation Entertainment Inc running around
Tomorrow ( Friday ) the events kick off in the late afternoon / early evening
However we are packing today, and leaving for Boulder tomorrow ( via RTD ) to meet up w/ the friend who'll be
driving us all to Denver ( of course the Con is there, these things are not small anymore are they ? )
This year there are 3 hotels covering the events, Events will be in all 3 hotels, E-gad, possibly the biggest Con
we've ever been in ever, before it was 1 hotel, then 2 years ago it spread to a 2nd hotel to cover comics, now it's 3 because 1 hotel just can't hold all the events anymore ! ( We're surprised by this as much as anyone would be )
Just like some of the bigger Furry Cons out there I'm sure, and yes I've seen a few local furs at Star Fest in the past
so it's okay for them to be there, just so you know, as a by fans for fans Convention the folks who run the Con are
pretty chillax, easy to talk ta' and whatnot, being fellow fans they understand when folkz have issues w/ things.
We managed to squeeze just enough funds to go do this ( but won't be buying anything due to low funds, typical )
Our friend will be buying things I'm sure, so we'll tag-along w/ 'em in the dealer's room, naturally.
How to spot us at Star Fest.... Uhm, there will be dis guy see.... with a wolf on his arm see.....
The wolf on his arm will be talking.... Might have a video camera on the other arm....

Only thing I hate about Denver is the price hike on things when compared to how much it cost here in Longmont, I can get a pretty good meal for under $5
Not so much in Denver tho' I'd be lucky if a light snack was under $5 let alone a whole meal, but we'll manage somehow, we always do.
Just won't be able to pick up a few things at the Con, typical, but we hardly buy stuff when at these things anyway, we just hang out most of the time.
My friend draws a lot , and I do short video skits w/ the Pack, well, we tried to last year but we brought too much stuff along, this year just will bring the main host of the show, the rest will stay and watch the fort, granted everything is packed for the move to the new fort, but still, they gotta watch the place.
