Good news, cancer stuff

I feel like I've been holding my breath since this all began and can finally breathe

my mom told me the same thing. We've been waiting for more final answers to what

it is she has and what its going to take to get rid of it and now with the p.e.t. scan over

with we know it's stage 3, which if the pet scan had been bad it would be stage 4, 

she only has breast cancer and there doesnt seem to be any cancer elsewhere in her body.

She starts chemo next week and I'm going to a class to teach me all about chemo

treatment, I'm going to be about it when it comes to her support. Mom doesnt

have many close friends and family all lives far away, really I'm all shes got

and I plan to be there for every moment she needs me.

well that's kind of yay, will keep you both in my thoughts, chemo is harsh and unforgiving so you'll need to be strong a little longer.

I was in stage 3 of hodgkins lymphoma, but for that kinda cancer it's the stage where it spreads. It's very good that you're gonna be taking a class to help take care of her, Blue, she'll need it. I wish her the best in her recovery. :3 Make sure she doesn't try working out or going on long day trips or walks though. Chemo's hard on the bones and muscles.

<3 I know what you are going through, my dad has Non Hogkins Lymphoma Stage 4. He is on his 4th treatment in May. As long as you keep the house clean during treatment, wash hands, use separate bathrooms, have her use Clorox baby wipes to clean the toilet (and herself if needed) The first 3 days she won't be able to be around large groups, I also wouldn't invite people over during these days (Movies and lots of love, she won't want company after her shot anyway) The shot is what is the worse, If the process is the same, the shot to make the white cell count go up makes them super sick.. Flu like symptoms.

I know you plan on taking classes, and I'm sure it will help, just know you got this and you are the best thing for your mama <3

My boyfriend's mother died this year and the two were practically inseparable. From what I can tell, the pain never really goes away, not for one second. So please, please, please, treasure every moment you have with her like it's your last because it's painful enough even to watch somebody lose a loved one.

Chemo is pretty rough. My mom had to have it for Goodpastures syndrome of her lungs. I think the hardest part for her was the hair loss during it... though it grew back thicker then she was before.. heh. It was rough trying to help her out cause my dad was sort of a dick through the whole thing.

Being there for her will help her out a lot and letting her know her kid will stick by her. :)

I have friends whose mothers have been afflicted by cancer (breast and other) so I can definitely understand the stress and fear that you're going through. If it were my mother, I'd be sick with worry too. And I'd be doing the same as you and just stand by her side and let her know that you're supporting her. Lots of strength and good luck to the both of you.

\ o / Yay! Finally some good news for you lady! I'm so happy to hear it hasn't spread. Good luck with getting your mom through the chemo! I'm sure it's going to be a real rough time for both of you but I think it will also create an immense bond between the two of you that will be something good to come out of this bad situation.

My grandfather recently passed from lung cancer. I really feel for you, and I'm glad you got the news you needed to hear. I just know that your mom's gonna be a survivor. If you ever need any support, we're happy to donate.

That's really good to hear! I don't know much about Chemo myself, but it's good that you're taking a class to learn about it! And being there for her is the best thing you can do. I wish you both the best!
