I think before the first doll people are always worried. Dad was very unhappy with me getting Connor, I think they tend to worry that'll you'll drop all this money on them and then do nothing with them. If it helps, you might want to mention that they really don't lose any value for being pre-owned (in fact in some cases people will pay more for em) so if at the end of the day it turns out owning one isn't your thing, you can sell it on relatively easy and make back your money.
