Charity for Cancer / Daiquiri Panda

I can understand, I think, why the FURNANDO's charity went so well.
First, there was a clear goal : If we were to raise X$ then we were suddenly saving several people; a shop owner, and several jobs. It was a beautiful story.
Second, since many people went over there or can sympathize with the guy because he's "furry-friendly", or were looking forward going to his place to eat some delicious (probably not very healthy :p) food, they were more likely to be generous.
Finally, If we have a couple of big shots / well-known charismatic people in the fandom being all into it, the mass is likely to follow.

However, If you just have $10 bucks to spare (let's be frank : it's nothing), please consider giving them to charity, but for a greater cause, such as cancer, or helping homeless people.
Daiquiri is trying to gather enough donations to just be able to RIDE HIS BIKE at an event / race, against cancer. He has lost dear friends and family to this curse.
I know your money is not directly saving lives. I know it's not immediately helping somebody you know.
I know you will find this charity less fun or whatever. Yeah, it's cancer, it's a classic. Just as boring as saving people in Africa. It's like fighting an invisible thing that you don't think you can win against, and you think your donation won't make any difference. It's not like fighting for saving Maple Bacon donuts, sure thing.
But maybe do it at least for him, then. He's not anybody. He's a fur too. What you're doing can help him, and also help cancer research of course. Plus it's 100% tax deductible. Don't you think it's AWESOME?
Don't you think this guy is somehow fighting for a dream too? He just needs your support. Look, our power is our number. If 20 of you give $10, which is absolutely nothing, he gets 200$. Ask 2 other friends of yours to do the same thing, and whoops, the number is exploding, and in 2 days he will say thank you everybody and it's over : you did something awesome too.

If for some reason you find donating too complicated on the website or whatever, I dunno, just paypal him the money or anything. Don't stay silent.

And if you can't still relate to him, but feel like helping,
wingedwolf is currently homeless, and anything you can give her is actually a way for her to EAT.
It's not African people or whatever, she's a fur too, you probably commissionned this person, or you probably just COULD giver her $10, and she'd come up with a little doodle just for you ! Who knows !
So yeah, please, if you feel like sparing a couple $, please do it. Can you at least please advertise this?
Don't be a lazy butt. You know it's both great causes to fight for.
You can make a difference for those two people, almost immediately, just like what happened to Furnando's. You can somehow be a hero for somebody else.
