So yesterday while browsing the racks at FYE...I came across an obscure (what I would label "Furry") dvd set of a series called Silverwing...from back in 2004.
Basically, there was a war between the Birds and the Beasts. The bats, belonging to both realms yet neither, refused to choose sides. The culmination of the war was a treaty between Birds and Beasts banishing the bats to the shadows.
Now, one bat, Shade Silverwing, breaks the rules by staying up to watch the sunrise...seeing the sun being forbidden to batkind.
This sets in motion a chain of events that sees Shade and his friends fighting to restore justice to the animal kingdom.
I watched the first episode...and while the graphics are a little dated, the storyline and characters are well worth the effort!
13 episodes in the series...based on a book by Kenneth Oppel.
If you like bats, furry animated series, or just the tale of a young characters defiance against overpowering odds...check it out. FYE, Best Buy or Ebay would be your best bets. Tho I'm sure other places stock it too!

I never got into the series really well since all they did was keep playing the same episode over and over again ^^;
