But I've always listened to stuff from Hyperdub a lot more. Especially Burial. Real Dubstep is a lot nicer to just chill and listen to imho.
And it's really nice to see a video like that here, so that more people can learn the differences between the two genres. Because they -really- are two completely different genres by this point.

So, Rusko was brostep as well, ooor? x:
What about Mt. Eden and Boregore then? c8 enlighten me <3
Dubstep and Brostep aren't usually the genres I hang out in, so I may be wrong, but... Rusko started out as a dubstep artist, and created his own versions of dubstep, calling it brostep, other people, like Skrillex, started trying this out too, and then you get this: http://youtu.be/rEuFTBG0Rbg
I believe that Mt. Eden is mainly dubstep, and Boregore seems to be brostep mainly. I could be wrong, as I said, my step-type knowledge isn't as great.
Hopefully this helps!!~ :D
That's not to say I don't like mellow music though -- it's just not something I listen to frequently. Once in a while, though, I do like to chill out to some ambient electronic, classical music, dubstep, ballads, etc. :3
I like Rusko, Skrillex, Bassnectar, and all everything in between.
