Looks like you already got quite a bit of help. It is good to note though that the Spanish taught in school is proper Spanish, spoken in Spain, so the guy from Spain is probably your best bet. Cause over here in the US, the Mexicans and Cubans occasionally end up failing Spanish because the grammar is different in different Spanish speaking countries. I took five years myself. If you have any questions about Spanish feel free to ask, but it looks like you have awesome help already.
