well over the past mounth or two ive been learning to use to use SAi program, and been doing well. but i didnt relize that it was a trail program i was using o...O and it just expired... so well... im back to using gimp till i can get the money to buy it so dont be surpized if things look a bit off for a while

Well, it probably doesn't open SAI files, but I hear that MyPaint is supposed to have a similar feel to it as SAI, especially using a tablet.

Might try finding a .sai to .psd converter and seeing if there's a way to open the result in GIMP without breaking things too much...

ok, try to rename your file hun. right click on it click Rename....then rename it as a jpeg. That might work. A warning box will come up asking if you're sure you want to do this. click yes. If you want to be on the safe side, then before doing that, make a copy of the file.

well it is sad ive lost some art for now... luckly i have a copy of the jpgs... just the work files are gone

Well this is true...though gimp isn't Too bad, at least for what it is for free. though Sai is a lot better. I had it too for a little while...but..yeah it was a trial version.

These days i either still use paintshop....or jt's photoshop. though lately i've been practicing with prisma markers.

*nods* well i do plan to buy sai.. with exchange rates it apprently only cost 60 bucks.. which is vastly better then photoshop

O,O Jesus! Ok that is...well..a but much...then again I think I know why since Jt has pretty much the full thing on his mac. If I understand correctly, the full photoshop is actually several programs in one, including animation, flash, after effects and a few other things.

well photoshop can do many different things.. well he might or he could have the version that is essentially renting to software for 2 years for 500 bucks... cheaper if your a student

mm as far as i know he owns the whole thing outright. I dunno the details though. I do know he uses it for his flash animations [like the epic freelance he's working on now!]
