Cartoon of the Week -- My Green Fedora

An old Merrie Melodies theatrical featuring a Big Bad Wolf-type weasel villain:
Though a typical, "Prey Outwits the Predator" romp, at least the weasel wasn't overly punished (until the very end), unlike so many cartoons where the whole thing is one long abuse-fest against the wolf/cat/fox/whatever. That baby bunny is so obnoxious, I can't help wishing the weasel could have succeeded, but I may be biased...

As for "prey outwitting the predator" . . . erf! I sympathize with the weasel. All he wanted to do was have a decent meal for a change. Bunnies are supposed to be eaten!
The day is saved due to surprise water pressure that, after demonstating that it just goes up and down, somehow transports the weasel to the forest (with a convenient and unlikely cactus patch) that in the previous wide shot looks at least 100 feet from the yard. But nobody cares because the comic timing is great. :)
