Interesting Stories
We at Long Live Redwall would like to thank our members for joining.
To open things up a bit, we'd like to know of any stories our members may have that came about their love for the books. Did they inspire you to draw, write, go for a certain style, interest you in a certain species (inspire you to eat); or did you ever meet anyone interesting simply for sharing a love for the books? Basically, in what ways has Brain Jacques tales touched your life?

I met Brain Jacques for his book signing of Doomwyte, at the Children's Museum of Houston in 2008. A couple years later, on my birthday,
As for inspirations - I've drawn several Redwall related art that helped me practice and improve. I also likewise completed two short fan-fiction stories. It's rare that I write, and even rarer that I finish.
There's a bit of inspiration behind my fursona as well. When I first became a member of the fur community in 2001, my fursona was a sable; and for a good few years I never quite decided on a fur pattern or shade. This reason being I was trying to make a sable look like something it did not. It wasn't until when I came across the Redwall books in 2005, that I realized the desired markings and physique of my character was actually based off a stoat. I didn't know this, cause prior to reading the books I wasn't aware of what a stoat was. Things have been rather unequivocal since. I found it humorous though, that sables were later introduced to Redwall with the release of The Sable Quean.
I started out with marten the warrior. It's still one of my favourites. I was also really stoked then they made the animated series.
I can say for sure the book pearls of Lutra is partly responsible for me being Marten today. ;)
