Unfortunately many of us are in that same boat - trying to find a job as well as trying to pay off bills. >.< More frustrating when things seems to get in the way (not the least of which is big companies that discrimiate on basis of not working). Stinks when you don't get reponses from even contract positions.

I'm 27 and I'm still trying to deal with the fact that life is a never-ending treadmill of shit you don't want to do.

I was in the same spot, last year and a few months ago. It's what made me less social online and brought my productivity in art down tot a snails pace. I'm still trying to recover. @_@;

I really suggest looking into a deferment for your student loans if things are getting rough and you're still looking for work at the moment. You might qualify for one in your situation if they have them. If you can't qualify for that then you can also apply for a forbearance, though you'll be responsible for the accrued interest. This sort of thing differs depending on the loans. Qualifications for deferment and interest for forbearance is not as bad for a FASA, but for private loans that's a whole other story. I applied for a unemployment deferment for my private loan and just applied for a forbearance on my FASA since it wouldn't effect my credit in the long run. It saved me from paying extra a month while I was out of work.

Also, if you have a FASA, you can try calling in and seeing if you can have your monthly payment lowered some. I was able to get my monthly bill down to $50, though once a year I have to remember to call in and tell them that I want to continue to pay my loans at the same low rate. It won't help you pay off my loans any faster, but it's still more money in your pocket in the end while you search for work.

Though not every situation is going to work out universally like mine, but hopefully it will help some from a guy who came out of a similar rut.a

I wish I could give you advice on the money front but hurray different countries. Keep your chin up, there's always options and when things feel hard don't forget that you've got people to turn to. Or vent at. EITHER WAY.
