You use hoops to stitch it together, not to frame it. You would need a pattern (unless you can create one yourself) and the floss for it. You will also need sewing needles as well to make this. I would probably would go with the simplest pattern for my first one with the lease colors. If you are a bit more skilled, either eevee or pikachu would work. Up to you really on the character, others would probably give you a better idea on which one you should do first.

No, I totally know the logistics of creating one. I have a pretty good idea of how to translate pixels to patterns or even a drawing to a pattern.

And people sell them in hoops, its the new hipster thing. Not that I ever used a hoop to make mine, but perhaps to finish it. They have some really cute wood hoops.

Well, I always use hoops to just do the work, I never care what current fads are since they really never did matter to me. lol

I can't do the hoops. It makes the way I do stitches really hard. I only ever like to deal with the front side of the work and hardly ever pull through the back if I can help it, so having it all tight like that really throws off my groove.
