Deputy Dawg helps out a friend in need, but his good deed does not go unpunished...

Musky Muskrat's design makes me think he was originally supposed to be an opossum.

Though he does not say it in this cartoon, Musky often said "It's possible, it's possible..." which of course was the catchphrase of that possum you were referring to. Does make one wonder.

Oscar Wilde referred to fox-hunting as "The unspeakable in pursuit of the inedible." What a way with words he had!

cute fox there in the cartoon. depending on the smarts of deputy dawg isnt a wise course of action really.Isnt he supposed to be a southerner though? whats a bunch of stick up their arses upper class brits doing there anyway?And as an officer of the law I guess its no surprise the rich feel they are above the law even if it is as suspect as deputy dawg but in the end it all works out. I mean Hey at least they didnt eat the chickens right?

Possible Possum was a Terrytoons character that appeared primarily in their theatrical cartoons, before all their production was for television. Muskie's personality is very similar to his.
