I know, I'm late to the game (AGAIN) but I started Second Life. By itself it's not really all that awe-inspiring but oh man, just being in the game reminds me of those books! Otherland, and especially Snow Crash. Damn, it's just got so much potential! I have horrible lag, and I need a faster computer, but it's still playable enough that I want to keep playing it . :) And most of the graphics are crude polygons, but some areas are incredibly beautiful! I found some art galleries on there and was just going O_O

Ugh, I could not play that game on my comp. The lag was evil, so I gave up. Maybe I'll try it again, since my hubby did some updating to my comp.

Yeah lag is definitely an issue. I was able to fix it some by making the game not windowed and decreasing the resolution but it's still pretty bad, I'll probably have to take to doing it on school computers instead.
