My birthday is tomorrow (*checks clock* and by that I mean "an hour from now" :B ). Gonna be 27 (insert customary weeping and gnashing of teeth). Celebrated on the weekend, since I could get together with my family, but maybe I'll go see The Avengers again, for funsies. (It was fucking awesome, by the by. You should probably go see it.)
I'm feeling pretty good about myself compared to this time last year. Feel more in control of my writing, less hampered by blocks, and I've got a couple of leads that could actually lead to publication, which would be rad.
Maybe getting older isn't so bad when you're actually making progress. XD

The strange paradox with birthdays is that they become both less significant and more significant as you grow older. I personally don't put much effort into celebrating my birthdays anymore. But I try not to pass up an opportunity to eat cake. So, I'm going to have a small piece of cake in your honor.
Here's wishing you many more birthdays to come, and plenty of great memories and achievements to go along with them.
