Another month gone by, another journal about me and my troubles to bore you all. I really need to post more cheerful journals sometime…
My Mood
My mood continues to go up and down more often than a pair of kangaroos in the mating season (to quote a line from Red Dwarf). Some days I’m OK, some days my mood can be pretty black and depression and loneliness can hit me pretty hard.
I also continue to find it difficult to have much contact with online friends. When I feel bad, I find it difficult to go on IM, as I don’t want to inflict my depressed mood on others, even if talking to people would probably help. The rest of the time, I seem to find it difficult catching anyone online at the same time as me.
As such, I think perhaps I should find more people to talk to, as even with a few recent additions, I don’t have that many. Anyone who thinks they might like to talk to me online sometime, send me a note and I’ll let you know how. Please be aware, I am not interested in people who only want to talk to me to try and get free art, trades or collaborations (that may sound harsh, but I’ve had that happen). I’m also not looking for someone who just wants to RP. I’m just looking for people who might want to be friends.
Comments and Notes
My recent uploads have generated a number of new comments, and a number of people have sent me notes recently. I keep telling myself I’m going to get around to replying to them, but things always seem to get in the way, like work, a bad mood, tiredness, etc. I do intend to get to replying to my notes, and at least some comments. But please be patient with me and not be offended if a reply comes late.
Art Progress
Progress continues to be made on my art stuff, and it continues to be far slower than I’d like. I’m trying to balance my time between commissions and pics of my own, which I’ve started thinking that might be a better way of doing things than burning myself out on doing just commissions.
I had hoped to have finished drawing House of Lazarus #4 by the end of May and have started inking and colouring it, but with each passing day, that seems less and less likely… :(
Stories
So, I uploaded some of my old stories recently. Of the two, ‘Mitchell and Michael’ seemed to be the more well-received, and it felt a little like ‘Raging Tiger’ went down like a lead balloon. But that said, neither seemed very popular, each chapter only seeming to get a handful of favs. I understand that pics are always going to do better than written stories, but still, I’d hoped more people would have enjoyed them.
I find myself dragging my feet about uploading my ‘Going Under’ and ‘Kuman the Barbarian’ stories. I’m sure I’ll get to them eventually.

I started writing my stuff again lately, picking up a few Gruffs Gym eps I left unfinished from 10+ years ago, I can't help thinking like you said, maybe Art is more well recieved, but I'm kinda doing it partly for my own amusement this time around rather than some English Essasy I had to finish for School kinda thing + not pressuring myself
I always felt Raging Tiger was a bit rambling and kinda hard to follow, M+M was more a casual read which my explain why its more popular
Try and make a bit of effort with Comments, + Notes etc as they say in Showbiz, your fans put you where you are, and people might stop bothering to comment etc if you rarely reply

And this may not help as much but....
By the way, have you tried doing something relaxing to get you out of that depression? It always seems to work for me.
