Excerpt from my back story
Viyir is still a young man. From the moment he knew how to walk and talk, he was thrown into training. Growing up on a military base was hard for Viyir. It meant little to social life, and little to no intimacy. HE didn't too much mind this of course. He trained with the best, bled with the deepest of gashes and cuts, and received the glory he worked so hard to earn. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves though. Viyir is almost 2000 years old. Confused? Don't be. A direct descendant from his ancient ancestor Anubis, The god of Death and Mummification. He had immortality on his side, Amazing strength, speed, intelligence. He had the upper hand over many. As you may have guess by now, he is a Jackal. Anthromorphic to be more specific. Anthromorphic means he can switch between being Feral and being Anthro. Ferally, Viyir stands 5 feet even, from the bottom of his feet to the tip of his ears. His length is around 4-5 feet. It varies ultimately with his growth. Anthro wise he stands at a hefty 11'3. He is easily distinguished by sight, if you see him coming that is. He has the common pointed slender ears of Anubis, the long snout as well. He has Black and Golden fur, the eye of Horus is in a golden pattern around his navel, Ankhs on the back of his long slender ears, golden paw pads, golden claws, and finally a golden band on the middle section of his tail. Viyir is a silent giant. He would rather observe than engage; one of the main rules of his training. He had endured years of military induced madness until the day came where his father would step down and he would take over as the Leader of their home land...
"Are you ready for this my Viyir? This will be a large step for you." His father looked over his son with a tender eye, standing before him proudly. "It will not be a joy ride mind you. I have held the position for millennium... I now know it is time to step down and let my son take over...”
Anubis offered a cheesy smile to his father and wrapped his arms around him, speaking calmly
"It will give me no greater honor than to take over for you dad. I want to show you how mature I've become. I can keep peace and harmony just as much as you can." HE peered up at his father with his amber eyes, cocking his head slightly "Plus. This will give me time to get to know our people. For the record though, we might want to start using my first name. Not many know me by Viyir anymore"
His father nodded slightly, gently rubbing over his sons head and ears. "Of course. We have to stay formal after all. I don't know how many will take you serious though. With your ear floppy and one rigid, you look more like an adorable leader than one who can strike fear into an enemy’s heart." He let out a thunderous laugh at his own dry joke. Anubis had always had issues with his left ear staying rigid. It was no real bother however; it was something that females simply adored.
"Aw come on dad! My ear isn't adorable it's fearful! This ear is a gift not so much a cute little burden!" He nudged his father’s side playfully as he broke from the hug. "We should be getting ready to go soon. The people are anxious to go on with the event."
Just as the words flew from his lips, a messenger appeared in the doorway of the room they were talking in. The smaller male looked between the two with a soft bright smile
"Alpha Trihe, the crowd is growing restless. Will you and Anubis be appearing soon?"
Anubis and Trihe looked between one another and each shared a smile. Anubis stepped forward towards the messenger, giving a slight wave of his hand.
“We will be down within 5 minutes. I just need to find my necklace and all will be well.”
He gave the messengers shoulder a soft pat before shooing him out of the door. The messenger muttered a few friendly words and a light laugh as he left from their location. Trihe looked at Anubis with pride swelling in his eyes. He knew his son would do a good job of keeping their land as it was and has been since its first creation. Anubis glanced at the small dresser that was off towards the left side of the room before he walked over to it and grabbed his necklace. It was a gift from his grandfather Anubisius. A Jade encrusted Anubian claw he had gathered back when the land was still at war within itself. He held the treasure in his palm for a few seconds before slinging it over his neck. He stepped to the door and looked over his shoulder at his father.
“I’m ready…”
“Good. I will be behind you, you know where to go.”
